From Rome, we sail down one of the world’s most scenic coastlines to Amalfi, a pretty, lemon-scented town dramatically set between the sparkling sea and the towering mountains. Relax onboard for a day as we sail next to Croatia for red-roofed Dubrovnik, where you can lose yourself in its labyrinthine limestone streets or dive straight into the sparkling waters of the Adriatic from a cliffside bar. Then we cross into Montenegro to admire the medieval walled town of Kotor, which overlooks a beautiful sheltered bay, and on to Corfu, Greece, with its glorious sandy beaches and UNESCO-listed Old Town, which bears the influence of the island’s Venetian, English, and French rule over the centuries. The Baroque architecture and bustling seafood markets of the Sicilian city of Catania call, before we arrive in Valetta, the cinematic Maltese capital, built by the Knights of St John in the 1500s andreputed to be the sunniest city in Europe.
