Do you know your ABCs? You will after this voyage along the coast of Central and South America. Departing the beautiful colonial city of Cartegena in Colombia, we hop between Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao – the ABC islands. Our first encounter is with Willemstad, in Curaçao, to explore the kaleidoscopic world within its coral reef, followed by Kralendijk in Bonaire, a good spot to discover more about these islands’ Dutch colonial past, and Oranjestad in Aruba, to embrace nature in the Arikok National Park. There is more nature to enjoy at Tayrona Natural National Park on our next stop, Santa Marta, on the Colombian coast. Now we relax at sea for a day, bound for the exciting experience of cruising the Panama Canal, one of the great man-made wonders of the world. At Fuerte Amador, gateway to Panama City, take the chance to see the great Miraflores locks through which the ships squeeze onto this narrow waterway. Our final port of call is Puerto Caldera on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.
