Athens is the starting point for this voyage from Greece to Italy, calling at Turkey and Malta, too. We head south to enchanting Santorini, with its white cube dwellings clinging to the edge of a sunken volcano, then north-east to the cosmopolitan seaside resort of Bodrum for a taste of the Turkish high life. A day at sea heading west brings us first to Valletta, Malta’s capital, then Tripani in Sicily. Discover how the strategic location of both these enchanting cities has turned them into fascinating cultural crossroads. Cagliari introduces us to another Italian island, Sardinia, with a mix of medieval mystery and gorgeous beaches to explore. Onwards we go to our final destination, Civitavecchia, and the promise of some time in Rome.
