    Today is an introduction to many of the cultural and architectural highlights of Lisbon, the second-oldest capital in Europe. Visit the Belém quarter to sample traditional pastries, admire the Monument of Discoveries, the Tower of Belem and Jeronimos Monastery. Proceed to the Alfama quarter and view Saint George Castle. Return to the hotel to relax before the evening’s entertainment - a traditional Portuguese dinner at a Fado restaurant.

    Today, depart for Sintra to visit the National Palace. After a coffee break at the neoclassical Seteais Palace, a photo stop at Cabo da Roca is a must. Lunch at a nearby restaurant follows, after which you will head toward the coastal city of Cascais. On the way, you will pass Boca Do Inferno, or Hell’s Mouth, where the ceaseless pounding of the sea has carved a jagged cave out of the rocks.
