    After a leisurely morning, get to know St. Petersburg on a guided tour. Nicknamed the “Venice of the North” for its extensive network of canals, you’ll visit all the major sights including the Church of The Savior on Spilled Blood, Peter & Paul Fortress and Church of St. Isaac. Discover a city rich in culture and revolutionary spirit...Russia's imperial capital never ceases to amaze.

    St. Petersburg

    Today we take the hydrofoil ferry to reach one the most magnificent summer palaces, Petrodvorets, also known as the Peterhof. Founded by Emperor Peter the Great at the start of the 18th century, it's easy to see why these magnificent complex of palaces and gardens is called the Russian Versailles. Fronted by the opulent Grand Palace and displaying a rich variety of architectural styles, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the city’s most visited attractions.

    After exploring the palace and its sorrounds lunch is included at Peterhoff Park.

    St. Petersburg

    Today is devoted to the world renowned State Hermitage Museum, housed in the lavish Winter Palace and former residence of the Russian Tsars. This stunning palace, an architectural masterpiece in itself is famously home to some three million treasures. The collection includes masterpieces by Leonardo Da Vinci, Titian, Raphael and the French impressionists; its sculptures, icons, coins and even the Tsar’s jewellery make the Hermitage an unforgettable place to visit. 

    This evening enjoy a night at the ballet in style at the world famous Marrinsky Theatre.

    Enjoy a guided visit to the town of Pushkin, home to one Russia’s grandest royal estates - the Catherine Palace, built in the 1700s. Absorb the blue and white facade, marvel at the rococo state rooms and halls embellished with stucco, frescoes and marble, and visit the showpiece - the extraordinary Amber Room. Continue to the Pavlovsk Palace, the elegant residence of Tsar Paul I, the son of Catherine the Great.

    St. Petersburg | Moscow

    Early morning we take the Sapsan high speed train from St Petersburg's Moskovsky Train Station, arriving at Moscow's Leningrad Train Station within 3.45 hours. Your base is The Ritz-Carlton, moments from Red Square and the Kremlin.

    This evening take a guided tour of Red Square including an exclusive opening of St Basil's Cathedral.

    Today, join your guide for a tour of Moscow's highlights to get your bearings. See landmarks such as Lenin’s Mausoleum, ancient cathedrals and convents including Christ the Savior Cathedral, Moscow State University, the Bolshoi Theater and more. Take in magnificent views of the city from Sparrow Hills, the highest point in Moscow overlooking the city and Moscow river.

    Delve deeper into the depths of Moscow’s fascinating history, beginning with a guided walking tour of the Kremlin's grounds and cathedrals. The Kremlin was once the home of the Tsars and is now the residence of the Russian president. This morning we will visit the Armoury Museum with an exclusive early entry. The museum is crammed full of weaponry, armour and even some of Faberge's famous eggs.

    After lunch, head underground to explore some of Moscow's beautiful metro stations. Decorated with marble, mosaic, stained glass and bronze sculptures, you'll agree they're more like museums than part of a transit system.

    Visit Star City, once a top secret town but today welcoming visitors interested in space travel. Since 1960s Star City has been a training centre for the Russian Cosmonauts, it was here where Yury Gagarin, German Titov and Valentina Tereshkova prepared for their historic flights. During the tour you will see a gigantic centrifuge designed to simulate G-force and the Hydro Lab, a huge pool that simulates weightlessness practicing spacewalks as well as have the chance to meet a Russian Cosmonaut! Please note Star City is a working training centre, so your visit must be approved by the Russian authorities.
