    After breakfast, you will be met by your guide for an introductory tour. Delve into the fascinating history of Phnom Penh and discover the dark and destructive past of the area as you venture to sombre locations made infamous by the Khmer Rouge.

    This morning, we visit Koh Chen, a silversmith village known for its fine craftsmanship. In the afternoon, we continue learning about Khmer riverside life of Kampong Chhnang, the 'Port of Pottery' so called because archeological findings here date to the 6th century.

    Continue exploring the remote communities around the Tonle Sap Lake, designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1997.  After lunch, we visit the floating village of Moat Khla, accessible only by water, and attend a Buddhist blessing ceremony in this isolated community.

    Set off by skiff into the 22,000-hectare Prek Toal Core Bird Reserve, one of the largest freshwater bodies in Asia and the last refuge in Southeast Asia for large waterbirds like the spot-billed pelicans, milky stork, black-headed ibis and the elusive masked finfoot.

    Siem Reap, Cambodia

    Start the day at Angkor Thom - last capital of the Khmers - where our guided tour begins at the Terrace of the Leper King and Phimeanakas, meaning 'Heavenly Palace". In the afternoon, marvel at what remains of the famed Khmer Empire and bear witness to the stunning ruins of Angkor Wat. This evening, enjoy dinner with show at Angkor Village Theatre.

    Today, visit an early 11th Century Hindu Beng Melea Temple, also known as the "Lotus Pond" Temple. Left largely unrestored, this temple makes for some stunning photography. This temple is thought of as almost the blueprint for Angkor Wat, being virtually the same layout.
