Day 1-8

8-day Self-drive escape to Sunshine Coast itinerary suggestion:

Day 1 - Arrival in Mooloolaba 
Arrive and check into your accommodation near the beach. Spend the afternoon exploring The Esplanade, relaxing on the sand, and enjoying dinner overlooking the ocean. Take a sunset walk along the Mooloolaba Spit. 

Day 2 - Mooloolaba & Alexandra Headland 
Start your morning with a beach swim or stroll. Visit The Wharf for cafés, boutiques, and SEA LIFE Aquarium. In the afternoon, head to Alexandra Headland to enjoy its beaches, surf spots, and coastal views before returning to Mooloolaba for dinner. 

Day 3 - Caloundra Day Out 
Spend the day in Caloundra exploring its beautiful beaches and scenic coastal pathway. Visit Bulcock Beach, Kings Beach, Shelly Beach, and Moffat Beach. Enjoy a relaxed lunch at one of the beachfront cafés before heading back to Mooloolaba. 

Day 4 - Hinterland: Montville & Kondalilla Falls 
Travel into the Sunshine Coast Hinterland to discover the charming village of Montville. Browse its boutique shops, then continue to Kondalilla National Park for a peaceful rainforest walk to the waterfall and rock pools. Return to Mooloolaba in the afternoon. 

Day 5 - Day Trip to Noosa 
Spend the day in Noosa, walking part of the stunning coastal track in Noosa National Park. Stop at Tea Tree Bay or Hell’s Gates for views, relax at Noosa Main Beach, and explore Hastings Street before heading back to Mooloolaba. 

Day 6 - Buderim Falls & Cotton Tree 
Begin your day with a tranquil rainforest walk to Buderim Falls. Continue to Cotton Tree for a relaxing lunch, swimming in the sheltered river mouth, or enjoying a gentle foreshore stroll. Return to Mooloolaba for a relaxed evening. 

Day 7 - Choose Your Experience 
Pick between: 
• Glass House Mountains – explore scenic lookouts or enjoy an easy summit walk 
• Australia Zoo – spend the day with wildlife encounters 
• Coolum – explore Coolum Beach or walk up Mt Coolum for panoramic views 
Finish the day back in Mooloolaba with a final beachside dinner. 

Day 8 - Mooloolaba Morning & Departure 
Enjoy a last swim before checking out. Have brunch overlooking the water before departing.
