Cape Town Welcome to Cape Town! Your friendly guide awaits you at the cruise terminal/airport and will transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 2: Cape Town
Today you will enjoy a city tour of Cape Town and see what this city has to offer. You will drive past the stadium from the soccer World Cup. From here, you continue your drive through the Bo-Kaap. See the Bo-Kaap, and how the Malay slaves influenced the culture, food and aesthetics of this beautiful city and its people. Formerly known as the Malay Quarter, this picturesque corner of Cape Town is well-known for its vast collection of colourful houses and cobblestone streets. Of course, Table Mountain cannot be missed (weather permitting). Since the first ships sailed around the Cape of Good Hope, Table Mountain has been seen as the symbol of South Africa. A must-visit, Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain forming a prominent landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town. It is a significant tourist attraction, with many visitors using the cableway or hiking to the top. The cable car takes about 7 minutes to the top, with the gondola rotating 360 degree during the trip. From the top of Table Mountain, enjoy the panorama and spectacular views! Looking to the city, on the left is Lions Head and Signal Hill, in the middle the City Bowl and on the right Devils Peak. After you visit Table Mountain, depart on a scenic drive along Chapman's Peak Drive, while being treated to dramatic cliffs and sparkling ocean vistas. The route winds through picturesque bays and rugged landscapes, providing photo opportunities at every turn. Continuing along the coast, you'll arrive at Boulders Beach, home to a famous colony of African penguins. The serene beach, framed by large granite boulders, offers a peaceful setting to watch these adorable creatures in their natural habitat. On the way back, pass through small coastal towns with vibrant streets lined with quirky shops, cozy cafes, and beautiful harbors. The drive is a perfect blend of natural beauty and small-town charm, making for a memorable coastal adventure.

The renowned towns of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, and Paarl form the heart of this famous wine region, which has been cultivating grapes since the 1600s. You'll enjoy three wine tastings at different local wine farms, complemented by a delicious lunch on one for the farms. After a day of exploring the picturesque valley, you'll head back to Cape Town. Along the way, take in the scenic beauty of the countryside before returning to the vibrant city, where you can unwind and reflect on your unforgettable day in the Winelands.
